The third edition of the Sports, Music and Culture (SMAC) Basketball Tournament tagged “basketball redefined” dunks off tomorrow at Indoor Sporrs Gymnasium Hall of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
The three-day competition which is suppprted by the Enugu State Basketball Association will witness exciting and scitillating basketball skills from 16 teams in Enugu, Ebonyi and Anambra States, as they compete for the star prize.

In his welcome address, spoonsor of the competition, Arinze Nnaji hinted that the competition is an avenue for young players to showcase their talents, adding that with hard work and consistency one can play at the highest level in any part of the world.

However, winner of this year”s edition would cart home the whooping sum of a #100, 000, with the 1st runner up getting #50, 000 while the Most Value Player of the competition and the winner of the 3-point shoot out takes #30,000 each respectively.

Meanwhile the participarting teams were drawn in four groups of A-B, and the organizer stated that the competition will be played in a roumd robin format with the two best teams advancing to the next round.

Other side attraction that would be displayed at the event includes dance competition, basketball mentoring and artiste performance.
