18 CLUBS READY FOR 2022 ENUGU STATE FOOTBALL LEAGUE

All is now set for the 2022 Enugu State Football League slated to kickoff on 21st June with 18 clubs ready to do battle for the star prize, and the Chairman of the Enugu State Football League (ENSFA), Barr. Tony Ugwu has reiterated on the rules and regulations governing the game, warning that it will not be business as usual as decisive measures and actions would be taken on defaulters.

Sports correspondent, Ugo Okeiyi who monitored the draws ceremony at the FA office yesterday at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Complex, noted that the club administrators, coaches and officials were duely intimated with the latest development in football globally.

Also speaking, ENSFA secretary, Mr Francis Ugwu reechoed the stand of the association as the sole organisers and regulatory body in charge of football matters in the state, adding that any team wishing to carry out any form of protest is free to do so orally to the center referee before the kickoff while completing team list or inspection of players.

He further stated that teams must provide medical certificate or letter of undertaking signed by the chairman and coach of the club for theirs players before any match, warning that any player involved in double registration would face disciplinary actions and also banned from the rest of the matches.

It would be recalled that winners of the 2021 edition of the competition, Star Plus fc, defeated chosen FC (emene) in the final to cart away the the trophy.
