OUR BASKETBALL CULTURE AND PHILOSOPHY CAN BE BETTER – ARINZE NNAJI.

Sponsor of the Sports, Music and Culture (SMAC) 3*3 Basketball invitational  tournamnet, Arinze Nnaji has reiterated the significance and impact of sports in the modern-day society, stating that regular sporting activities would unearth and groom talents from the state.

The event which was tagged “basketball redefined” witnessed sports personalities, coaches, basketball lovers and passer-bys from different parrs of the metropolis troop in the numbers to catch a glimpse of the proceedings, as the particiiipating teams jostle for the top prize.
Speaking to newsmen at Indoor Sports Gynasium Hall of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Nnaji highlighted the uniqueness of this year”s edition, adding that the final game lived up to expectations.
Reacting to the overall perfprmance of the participating teams, the basketball enthusiast hinted that basketball is a physical and aggresive game, that requires mental balance, articulation, fitness and hard work, expressing satisfaction over the level of competition in this year’s edition..
On his part, Coach of rhe Enugu State Basketball Association, Chiedozie Nwoye  applauded the teams and overall performance of the event, solicting for more programs from individuals, cooperate bodies and the government.
Also speaking, Team Captain, ADM, Okpara Fabian, who was super excited as the team emerged wimner at the end, gave kudos to the organizers for putting up such a program.
However, Team ADM which comprises of Okapara Fabian, Onyekachi Modestus, Igwebuike Kizito and Kenneth Emmanuel carted home the whooping sum of a #100,000 by defeating Black Tigers (12-6) in the final, Black Tigers got #50, 000 and fpr finishing in the third place, Hawks were rewarded with #20, 000.
Others individual winners include, James Osazele who emerged the Most Valueable Player of the competition for his excellent display got #30,000, Nwele Chukwuebuka, adjudged as the best 3-point shooter recieved #30,000 and in the slam dunk category, Akachukwu Victor smiled home with #20,000 as the overall winner.
