RANGERS INTERNATIONAL, INGAS FC TO REPRESENT ENUGU IN 2023 AIETO/FEDERATION CUP.

Rangers International Football Club emerged winner of the 2023 edition of the State AIETO/Federation Cup by thrashing Amateur side, Ingas FC of New Haven 5-1 in the final, played at the Enugu Rangers Training Pitch, Liberty Estate, Indrpendence Layout today.

It was a dorminant display from the Nigeria Premier Football League side throughout the duration of the game, as the 2018 AIETO Cup champions dictated and controlled every department of the game.

Chidera Eze, Innocent Gabriel, Chidiebere Nwobodo and Godwin Obaje registered their names on the scorers sheet for Enugu Rangers while the only consolation strike came off the boots of Ingas FC, Striker, Okorie Chidozie.

Speaking to newmen at the end of the game, Chairman Enugu State Football Association, ESFA, Barrister Tony Ugwu expressed gratitude to all the football fraternity and stakeholders in the state while also congratulating the winning side for the victory.

Reacting to the restart of the 2022/23 NPFL season, the Chief Operating Officer of Interim Management Committee, IMC, David Owumi confirmed that the second stanza of the league would be resuming on the 25th of March and they have a program in place.

To this end, Enugu Rangers and Ingas Football Club would be representing the state in this year’s AIETO/Federation Cup scheduled to kick start from April, 2023.
