All is now set for the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, under-17 zonal qualifiers in five centers across the federation as youth teams of the elite division side in the country’s domestic league have all arrived and undergone a series of screening and documentation exercises.
In Enugu center, the youth teams of Enyimba international (Aba), Heartland FC (Owerri), Enugu Rangers (Enugu) and Abia Warriors (Umuahia) will battle for qualification spot.
In an exclusive chat with the Chairman of the NPFL Youth League Committee, Pastor Emeka Inyama, he reaffirmed that the players and coaches of all the teams have undergone a thorough, proper and strict exercise, adding that the future and aspiration of Nigerian football lies in the youth.
The Chairman applauded the responses from teams, confirming that the competition would begin today by 9am.
Meanwhile, other centers that are hosting other NPFL youth teams are Lafia for clubs in North Central, Kaduna will host clubs from the Northwest and Northeast, Ekiti is the centre for Southwest clubs and Port Harcourt for South South clubs.
