Organizers of the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, say despite ending the just concluded league season on a high, there a some areas the body will be improving on, while expressing gratitude to the Nigeria Football Federation and all other relevant stakeholders that contributed to the success story of the league.
Speaking in a recent interview in Abuja, Chief Operating Officer, Davidson Owumi said the date and fixtures for the forthcoming season is ready but the league body will have to seek the consent of the clubs during the Congress.
Reacting to whether Enugu Rangers have received their prize money as winners of the 2023/24 NPFL, the football administrator admitted that the club must have received the money 3 or 4 days after their last match or they can still get it at the weekend in Lagos.
The 1993 highest goal scorer however promised that they will not relent on their oars in the propagation of domestic football in the country, calling for more support.
Recall that 2022/23 football season which was an abridged version witnessed Rivers United, Sunshine Stars, Lobi Stars, Enyimba International, Remo Stars and Bendel Insurance played in Super Six held in Lagos.
