NPFL TEAMS DOMINATES PRESEASON TOURNEY IN ENUGU.

Top Nigeria Premiere Football League, NPFL, teams, Enugu Rangers and Abia Warriors FC continued their impressive form in the ongoing Tico Select Preseason Championship in Enugu.

Match day four encounter lived up to expectations, just as fans, supporters, football enthusiasts, business men, passerby troupe in the number to catch a glimpse of the excitement.

Inexperience, indecision and lack of converting goal scoring opportunities was the major undoing of Enugu base team, Inga’s FC, as the club lost narrowly Rangers International 1+0 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.

Despite starting on the ascendency, dictating, and controlling the pace of the game as well as constantly putting the former NPFL winner on the receiving end, the Coach Kingsley Obiekwu led side, could not make use of their advantage in the first 45 minutes.

On resumption of the interval, a rejuvenated Enugu Rangers stepped up the tempo, pressing high up and making sure they were restricting any attack of the opposing team., just as Substitute Anthony Chinecherem reacted swiftly at the edge of the penalty area, to put his team ahead with less than 15 minutes to the end of the encounter.

Meanwhile, In other game played earlier, 2023/24 President Federation Cup finalist, Abia Warriors FC, also edged pass Nigeria National League side, Diana-Eni 1-0.

Tomorrow’s game which begins by 2pm, will see two amateur side based in Enugu, Great Achievers vs Ingas FC at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, while Diana-Emi coached by former Lobi Stars defender, Isaac Loute will be up against Enugu Rangers by 4pm
