The 2025 edition of the Enugu State Under-15 Football competition is set to begin the knockout phase from today, following the successful conclusion of the preliminary round.
The grassroot competition which witnessed 11 teams within the metropolis, exhibited scintillating and exciting football artistry, even as the teams jostled for the ultimate prize.
Enugu State Football Association, ESFA, organizers of football, has hinted that the championship is an avenue to discover and nurture exceptional talents to stardom, emphasizing the significance of such projects.
They further expressed optimism that the competition will live up to its billing, while calling on the coaches, administrators and managers of the various clubs to shun any form of malpractices or false claims that may mar the game.
According the fixture for the quarterfinals, a very composed and coordinated Emirate FC will be up against a formidable Divine team at 9am, while the second match between Denva and Black Stars is scheduled for 10:30am, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium.
Tomorrow’s game which commences by 9am, will see Enugu Angels, who thrashed J love 4-1 and drew 0-0 with Divine FC, will fight for a place in next stage of the competition against another enterprising Lionnaires, while Great Apostle and Black Stars will take center stage by 10:30am, at the same venue.
