TEAM ENUGU ARRIVES ABUJA FOR PARA GAMES

Team Enugu contingents have arrived the venue for the 3rd edition of the National Para Games scheduled scheduled  o take place at the Moshood Kashimawo Olawole, Stadium, Abuja, from March 26 to April 3.
 The championship which is organized by the National Sports Commission, NSC,  will feature over 3000 athletes, coaches and officials from the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory, just as the tournament will witness competition in15 disciplines.
Speaking shortly before the contingents departure at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium today, Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Barrister Lloyd Ike Ekwermadu expressed high level optimism that the athletes are well motivated and will do the state proud.
The Commissioner also noted that the championship will avail the athletes the platform to showcase their talents, synergize with their counterparts from other states as well as get the opportunity to represent the country at a major outing.
Energy FM sports correspondent, Ugochukwu Okeiyi, reports that Team Enugu will be represented by 11 officials, 30 athletes inn 8 sports which include Canoeing, Para Swimming, Para powerlifting, Para Table Tennis, Para athletics, Wheelchair Basketball, Wheelchair Tennis and Para Badminton
