President and founder, Bina Foundation, Lady Ifeoma Atuegwu has reiterated her passion and concern for the well-being and development of people with disabilities, blind, orphan and less priveledge in the society, stating that the foundation is determined to continually venturing into other special sports.
Bina foundation is a non governmental organisation that specializes in helping and taking care of the needy, physically challenged and people with special needs through skill acquisition and special sports.
She made this disclosure at the weekend to sportszone.com.ng correspondent during the training camp at the Indoor sports hall of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium. Atuegwu a trained pharmacist, explained that the training and preparation of the national blind football teams for the forthcoming regional championship in Morocco later in the year has been intense and tasking, optimistic that the teams can According the ticket to represent the country at the World Championship in Birmingham (England) next year.

She further enumerated some of the acrivities of the organisation in the past few years and how they came in sports in 2017, hinting that with the introduction of blind football in some primary and secondary schools curriculum, they would be definitely making an impact in the pupils/students.
In his words, Immediate past president of para Athletic fyederation of Nigeria (PAFN) and director of sports, bina foundation, Hon. Dr. Chikwendu Amobi is confident that the female national team has a brighter chance and opportunity to win the championship in Morocco than their male counterparts.
Also speaking, International Blind Sports Association (IBSA) Director for Africa, Toussaint Akpweh noted that both the male and female national teams are improving alongside their progression and understanding of the techniques, reaffirming that they will continue to improve on their loopholes.
Reflecting on what the experience is like and the expectations going into the competition, Captain of the male national team (Star Eagles), Azubike Oba expresses gratitude to the foundation for their immense support, care and opportunity to be part of the team, promising that apart from playing good and attractive football they want to clinch the title.
It would be recalled that Morrocco won the 2019 edition of the IBSA Blind Football Championship that was hosted in Enugu, Nigeria by thrashing Mali 5-1.
