Technical Adviser, Plateau United Football Club (Jos), Fidelis Ilechukwu has opened up concerning the just concluded 2021/22 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season, noting that there are some grail areas that needed to be worked on.

Plateau united qualified as one of Nigeria’s representatives in this year’s edition of the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) champions league after ending the season in second position on the league table with 67 points after 38 games behind winners, Rivers United FC (portharcourt).

Speaking on a radio show over the weekend, the former Mountain of Fire and Miracles (MFM) FC gaffer who attributed the feat of the jos club as a collective effort from the management, backroom staffs, players and fans, adding that Rivers United had an impressive performance throughout last season.

On the decision of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) selecting Kwara United fc as the second representative in the CAF confederation cup, ilechukwu further hinted that the country’s football body had to take the decision in other to meet up with CAF directives in the continental club competition at the detriment of other club sides.

It would be recalled that in 2017, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) alongside the League Management Company (LMC) ably led by Amaju Pinnick and Shehu Dikko put pen to paper on a memorandum of understanding regarding football development with the Football Federation and Premier League body of the Kingdom of Morocco.
