The Edo State Government has reiterated its committment and willingness towards sporting activities and its development, adding that the state can produce athletes that can compete in any part of the world.
Speaking in a telephone interview recently, the Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, Yusuf Ali applauded the state owned club, Bendel Insurance Football Club for its impressive performace in the abridge version of the 2022/23 Nigeria Premier Football League.
According to him, the management and technical crew ensures that the team prepares well and also put in their best in all their games, noting that the club will qualify for the SUPER SIX competition at the end of the season.
The Former Nigeria international explained that despite the pressure of lucrative contracts from different agents for some of the players, they are constantly stressing on the improvement and workrate of the players.
However Bendel Insurance FC who are yet to drop maximum points this season, are topping the league in Group A with 26 points after 12 games and also scored at total of 16 goals and conceded 8.
