Eight time Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, winner, Rangers International Football Club (Enugu) has expressed satisfaction over the level of performance recorded by the team especially in the second stanza of the ongoing domestic football league season, adding that their priority remains to finish among the tops teams..
The club further noted that the recent acquisitions during the transfer window in almost every department of the game, has significantly stepped up the level of confidence as well as the team’s cohesion.
Technical Adviser of Enugu Rangers, Fidelis Ikechukwu, made the comment shortly after the 2-0 victory over Nasarawa United FC, in match day 28 of the 2025/26 NPFL season, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu.
According to him, the team is not there yet but on a transitional mode and would continually improve in subsequent game admitting that the players are also adapting to their defensive and offensive duties.
On his part, Technical Adviser of Nasarawa United. FC, Mbwas Mangut, hinted that they tried to frustrate their visitor’s game and possibly pounce on mistakes but unfortunately their opponent had a better plans, took their chances and secured maximum points.
To this end, Enugu Rangers have returned to the echelon of the 2025/26 NPFL with 47 points, after three wins, two draws and a loss, and would be welcoming the current league holders, Remo Stars (Ikeene) next Sunday, 8th March, 2026.
