ENUGU RANGERS UNVEILS FIDELIS ILECHUKWU AS TECHNICAL ADVISER.

Rangers International of Enugu has unveiled former Mountain of Fire and Miracles, Heartland FC and Plateau United tactician, Fidelis Ilechukwu as the new Technical Adviser, who would be saddled with responsibility of returning the club to winning ways in the forthcoming Nigeria Premier Football League Season.

The ceremony which took place yesterday at the club’s Corporate Office, Along Abakiliki Road, GRA, Enugu, was witnessed by the club’s management, officials, football stakeholders and a large presence of the sporting media in the state.

In his introductory address, Administrative Secretary of the Club,1 Barrister Ferdinand Ugwuarua, stated the event marks a breakthrough in the club’s history, hinting that it was after the decision of the previous coach not to extend his contract with the club that the management deems it worthy to look for a successor that has pedigree and sound knowledge of domestic football in the country.

After signing the dotted lines on a two-year deal, Coach Ilechukwu expressed appreciation to the state government and the football community that played a part on his arrival, calling for collective support so as to take the club to greater heights.

It would be recalled that Enugu Rangers did not participate in the Super Six Competition as a result of their disappointing 8th position in the 2022/23 NPFL campaign, lost the Confederation of Africa Football, CAF, spot to Bendel Insurance FC and currently not playing in the Naija Super Eight Championship.
