The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Enugu Chapter has extended its congratulatory and felictations to the Enugu State governor-elect, Barrister Peter Mbah for emerging victorious at the just concluded gubernatorial polls.
In a letter signed by the Secretary of the Association today, Comrade Chinedu Adonu, the body reiterates its willingness to have a cordial working relationship with the new administration in the aspect of competition, development and harnessing of sporting talents to foster peace and unity among the citizenry.
The association appealled to the incoming administration in the appointment of sound, vibrant and passionate commmissioner, who can revive and turn around the sporting fortunes of the state, reassuring that the body will continue to deliver engaging and informative events on sports in the state.
The group is also optimistic that with the Peter Mbah led government set to be inaugurated on the 29th of May, 2023, more its members would be actively involve in major sporting events both locally and internationally.
