All is now set for the third edition of the final of the Enugu State Secondary Schools Championship set to take center at the main bowl of the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, in Enugu.
The championship which is organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Development in collaboration with the Post Primary School Management Board, PPSMB, will commence from today, 11th till Saturday, 14th March, 2026.

The tournament which which will serve as platform to discover and nurture the next generation of athletes, promises to live up to its billing as Secondary Schools across the 6 educational zones in the State, comprising Agbani, Awgu, Enugu, Nsukka, Udenu and Udi.
will compete in athletics, volleyball, football, tennis in the male and female categories.
According to organizers, the program is structured in a way to give the State Coaches as well as the schools games teachers the first hand opportunity to access their athletes, even as the event provides the atmosphere for synergizing and bonding among the schools.

The Organizers expresses disappointment over the rapid decline of sports in the state, calling on the government, corporate bodies and well meaning individuals to invest in the sector.
Meanwhile, the final of the competition which comes up by 2 pm at the weekend, witnessed over 360 students competed in the three day event .
