ENUGU SWAN REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TOWARDS SPORTS DEVELOPMENT.

The reelected executives of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Enugu State Chapter, have reaffirmed its commitment in advocating for sports development, professionalism in sports journalism as well as building its reputation.
The Executives also emphasized the significance of unity and togetherness among members,  while reassuring that they will leave no stone unturned  in priotizing membership inclusivity for the growth of sports in the state.
Chairman of SWAN, Enugu Chapter, Gideon Iweke, (Federal Radio Cooperation of Nigeria, FRCN) made the comment shortly after the executives were sworn-in, at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, today.
According to him, his reelection back into for the second tenure simply defines the trust and confidence the Association reposed in him when he assumed office three years ago, while expressing immense gratitude to every member for support and solidarity.
The Chairman who recalled some of the expectations and challenges from the first tenure, however reiterated the determination and resilience of executives in raising the standard of the Association.
In his goodwill message, National President of SWAN, Benjamin Isaiah, represented by the Southeast Vice President, Ikem Asika, praised the peaceful condiuct of poll, saying that the presidency will continually throw its weight behind me the growth and promotion of the Association across the country.
The brief ceremony which was conducted in a serene and calm atmosphere under the watchful eyes of the Chairman of the Electoral Committee, Jude Ossai (Daily News Nigeria) saw Ikechukwu Chinedu (Vice Chairman), Chibuike Peters (Secretary), Chibuzor Nwoye ( Treasurer),  Godwin Unogwu (Financial Secretary) and Amechi Agbo (Assistant Secretary)  serve for the next three years.
