BURGLARS RANSACKS ENUGU RANGERS SUPPORTERS’ CLUB OFFICE, CARTS AWAY VALUEABLES WORTH #15M.

 

 

National Chairman, Enugu Rangers Supporters’ Club, Dr Ilokazi Orji has expressed deep shock and bewilderment to the level of damage and looting at the Supporters Club’s Office, Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Complex, Ogui road, stating that they are indeed devastated about this situation.

On July 5th, 2022, Rangers International Supporters’Club Office was vandalised and burgled with items, valueables and cash worth #15m stolen by some unknown persons.

Orji who spoke to newsmen about the incident over the weekend, lamented over the condemable and unacceptable act committed by some intruders since the establishment of the club, alerting the fans and supporters of the Rangers International family worldwide that the sanctity of the club was desecrated and destroyed.

 

The medical practitioner further revealed that Items that was carted away includes 21′ inch television, two ceiling fans and it’s regulators, four trumpets, a set of band, Honda generator, electricity wires and the club’s official financial books, hinting that the authorities have been duely informed about this development.

It would be recalled that Enugu Rangers was founded in 1970 and won a nationally organised tournament which qualified for team to participate in the 1971 African Cup of Champions Clubs, they also made the final of the first Nigerian FA cup in 1971 but lost 2-1 to eventual winners Shooting Stars FC.
